Kosei Tanaka vs Jonathan Gonzalez Live Boxing Fight

Tanaka, 24, is widely considered the top flyweight in the sport right now, and is already a three-division titleholder. He won the WBO strawweight title in 2015, defending once, then the WBO junior flyweight title in 2016, defended that twice, and then moved up to flyweight in early 2018. Last September, he beat Sho Kimura for the WBO 112-pound title by decision, and made a successful defense against Ryoichi Taguchi on March 16.

Gonzalez, 29, isn’t really on this level on paper, with a pair of knockout losses to Giovani Segura (2013) and Jobert Alvarez (2016), but he’s won four in a row, including picking up the WBO NABO title in Feb. 2018, and making two defenses of that belt, with all of those fights coming in Kissimmee, Florida.

The stream will also feature 21-year-old 112/115 prospect Kento Hatanaka, who is perfect thus far as a pro. He’ll be facing 24-year-old Filipino Jaysever Abcede in a 10-round bout.

Main Card (Stream, 2:00 am ET)

  • Kosei Tanaka (13-0, 7 KO) vs Jonathan Gonzalez (22-2-1, 13 KO), flyweights, 12 rounds
  • Kento Hatanaka (9-0, 9 KO) vs Jaysever Abcede (19-8, 12 KO), super flyweights, 10 rounds
